Are my GPU Temps okay?

Bought a new PC recently and the R9 280 graphics card I have gets to around 75°C ONLY in game, and sits around 30-40°C idle, its pumping hot air around my room and making me sweat like crazy! Haha.

Is this normal as I'm new to all this?

Yes it is normal for a GPU to get hot during stress/gaming. It isn't getting too hot, just pretty warm. MSI Afterburner will allow you to create a custom fan curve to help keep your temps down. Unfortunately the part about heating up your room is not going to change, the heat has to go somewhere.
