Hello people, first time builder here(I'm from India).
I was planning on this build and have a few questions:

PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bfRPJ8

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor ($175.02 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard ($118.97 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($77.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($44.00 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Asus - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB Strix Video Card ($448.02 @ Amazon)
Case: Phanteks - ECLIPSE P400S TEMPERED GLASS ATX Mid Tower Case ($84.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Corsair - RMx 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($119.99 @ Amazon)
Ram: G.Skill Tridentz RGB 16gb 3000Mhz 8x2 (F4-3000C16D-16GTZR)
Total: $1068.98

I have already bought the motherboard and the case. I'm confused about the GPU. The strix is costing me $432(Rs.29,500), and the GTX 1070 Founder's Edition is just 50$ more
(Rs.33,000/$584) and I'm kind of leaning towards the 1070. But I'm worried about the high temperature issues with the 1070, as it's hot where I live. I googled about it and the only apparent solution seems to be modifying the fan curve, and I'm okay with that as long as that actually works. I can't really afford the aftermarket 1070s as they are very expensive here, so it's either the 1070 FE or the Strix 1060. I can at most spend $520(Rs 36,000) on the GPU so any recommendations are welcome.

Also a little afraid about the ram dying issues with G.skill. I really love the ram and it's on the QVL, but there have been some complaints about the rgb not working or worst, the ram dying. Is the issue fixed? The other ram I like is the Corsair Vengeance RGB white (CMR16GX4M2C3000C16W), but it's not on the QVL.

Thanks :)

go with 1060 6gb if you play at 1080p, its more than enough, or 1070 if you go for higher res

one more thing, don't always think that QVL always true, in fact, I use the Corsair RAM you mentioned on X370 board and not in QVL

i do plan on playing at 1080p but will 6gb be enough for future gaming? the 8gb on 1070 will future proof my pc for a couple more years, won't it? also i'm just worried about the founder edition's heating problems.

how long have you been using the ram? does it run at rated speeds? as this is a ryzen build i want the ram to run at 2933mhz.

gtx 11xx will out probs late this year, just grab one if you have the chance, gtx 1160 is supposed to have same performance to gtx 1070

ive been using the RAM since last year, and I haven't feel the need for it to run at its rated speed, but it can since I already try it with updated BIOS, currently run at 2667Mhz

yeah that's a better idea. they are rumoured to be released in august so i guess i can wait.
glad to hear the ram hasn't given you any problems, that's a relief.
