Screen became greenish black and white

My win 7 laptop screen became greenish black and white. No other colors are displayed.

if you move the lid of the laptop, does the color come back?

Check with an external monitor, if it´s there too.

If not, it might be the cable between display and motherboard. You can replace it yourself, by disassembling your laptop and getting the exact same part from e.g. ebay or similar
