Low accelerate yaris car 1kr

Hi my car 1KR yaris can't accelerate past 40mph even after i press the pedal all the way down...I have changed the fuel pump and fuel filter as well but nothing has changed....what could be causin this? Please help

Well it's a yaris, so maybe 40 is the top speed?
Do you have a check engine light? Most auto stores will scan the codes for free. If it's having a misfire, your car could be putting it into a restricted performance mode to prevent damage (my jag does that). I'm a little shocked you would change the fuel pump so quickly as you could've ruled that out and saved yourself the headache of changing it.
