As brief as possible...
The Facts:
- Recently rebuilt system with an I7-8700 (non-K) and MSI B360I Gaming Pro MB (ITX).
- Other specs are GTX 1080, Samsung 960 EVO nVME 250G SSD and 32G RAM.
- This MSI board happens to have 2 M.2 slots, one of which supports Optane and RST.
- I already have a new Seagate Barracuda Pro 4TB HDD that needs a home.
The Question:
1) Config 1 - Add a second (250G) SSD in 2nd M.2 slot for games, and use the Barracuda Pro HDD alone for storage?
2) Config 2 - Use an Optane 32G module in 2nd M.2 slot to accelerate the Barracuda Pro HDD for BOTH games and storage?
3) Config 3 - Ignore the second M.2 slot and just add the Barracuda Pro HDD alone for BOTH games and storage?
Thanks!
