MSI GeForce® GTX 1080 ARMOR 8G OC 8GB GDDR5 (256Mx32bit) 256bit HDMI DL DVI-D 3xDisplayPort ATX

It's a bit cheaper than other cards so I wonder what does that x32 bit mean? Is it bad?

Also what would be the best GTX 1080 for temperatures if I plan to leave it with the cooling system that it comes with? Is MSI good for that?

why it has 32 bit written on the title though? What does it mean and is it different from other cards?

They just went overkill with the specs. Its 256 bit memory bus, but each vram chip is 32bits wide presumably. It doesnt matter, all 1080 will be the same.

Do you think it would be better to grab MSI GTX 1080 ARMOR 8G OC for 589 euros rather than Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8G for 651 euros?

Because if you look at these stats ARMOR actually runs cooler and is more silent:

Actually it's cheaper because it doesn't have a back plate. And it seems back plates prevent cards from bending and getting surface fractures over long term due to their weight...

Back plates are really just for aesthetic. Even cards with back plates can droop. Plus, a backplate doesnt cost the manufacturer 60euros..
