I guess a dumb question about motherboards?

Hello , i've got a GA-H110M-S2 (motherboard) and a I5-7400 and I want to upgrade to I5-8600K and in gigabytes website it said it supports up to 7th generation cpu's , do yall think it will work on my motherboard or I should buy a new one ? (And yeah I am kind new to all of this)

Your motherboard GA-H110M-S2 does not support intel 8th generation CPU thus won't support i5-8600k. You'll definitely need a motherboard upgrade for that CPU.
