My specs:
Gtx 1080 ti
16gb Ram
i7-8700
ssd 500gb
hdd 2tb
kraken x62

So Im looking for a G-Sync 144Hz Monitor. I dont know if i should go for 1440p or for 1080p. I want 144fps at all times, but i dont want to play on low settings.(I mostly play Rainbow Six Siege). Should i get 1080p, be able to play on ultra at 150-220 Fps. or get 1440p? My problem is, that i dont know how many FPS i will get on a 1440p display. As said i really dont want to go too low with my graphics settings :/

Here are two Monitors im concidering to buy:
ASUS ROG SWIFT PG248Q, 24" G-Sync 1080p 144hz
DELL S2716DG 27" G-Sync 1440p 144hz

If you have other suggestions in about the same price range im open for them :)

Also if i go with the 1080p i will save about 150 Swiss Francs, so i think 1080p is the better choice. But im asking on here for advice just to be 100% sure before i buy anything.

P.S sorry for bad english spelling ^^

I don't think you are going to have a problem with any of the monitors with a GTX 1080Ti. You can run 4K monitors with that graphics card. And remember if the case (reduced FPS) does arise with a particular game, you can decrease the monitor resolution for that game (without reducing the game settings).

Also the 144 Hz monitors have nothing to do with 144 FPS.

I would recommend the Asus ROG swift over the Dell.

What's your budget?
