Using 240hz monitor at 144hz

Hello, as I`m about to get my new 240hz monitor tomorrow, I`m planning to use it at 144hz untill I get a better gpu. My question is if I`m using the monitor at 144hz does it "wear off" the monitor or damage it since I would be using it at a refresh rate different to it`s native one for a longer period of time?
