Event 16; Error while updating status to SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON

I'm getting thousands of event notifications very day. The 'Event Viewer' reports:

Error while updating status to SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON.
EventData SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON; 02000000

Details are:
System:
- Provider [Name] SecurityCenter
- EventID [Qualifier] 49152
- Level: 2
- Keywords: 0x80000000000000
- EventData: SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON
02000000

It wakes computer at 09:30 AM and logs the events every 5 seconds.

How can I stop this nonsense?

Type in services.msc in Run dialog box.
Locate the service Windows management instrumentation.
If it is not started, right click it and click Start.
If it is started right click it and select restart.
Personally what I feel is most of the event viewer errors are generic and should not be seriously taken unless your computer isn't functioning normal.

Hi Colif

That was quick. Thanks for resolving
I stopped /restarted the service and the logging has stopped!
Not that the 'events' were worrisome, but I hate it when a computer wakes up and starts spinning all by itself.

Question:
What's the logic behind your solution? Why would a restart stop the error/reporting?
