Hey.

I went from a glossy 1080p 60hz 25 inch monitor to a matte 1440p 144hz 27 inch monitor (ASUS MG278Q). I've put all the settings to my liking. After that, I went to https://www.eizo.nl/monitor-test/ to test the image of the monitor. I immediately noticed something odd between my 2 displays. My old monitor showed that the background color of the page appears to be blue, while on my new monitor it looks like a purple background. I checked the page out on my phone, on my phone it was also blue. Here's a picture of what it looks like on both monitors: https://imgur.com/a/vcB42MH
It's not the best picture, but it gets the job done. Also, the glossy screen shows a more darker black, while the matte screen shows a more grayish color. Should the differences of the 2 be like this? Never used a matte screen before.

Blue vs Purple could be a color temperature setting on the monitor. Purple would have more red, and therefore a lower color temperature. Check the settings. Your 1080p monitor may be set at 9000K (or not have any adjustments). Your new monitor may be set at 6500K which is a more natural color temperature.

The RGB settings for my new monitor are 93, 95, 100. Putting the RGB on 80, 95, 100 for testing purposes still shows a purple background. My old monitor is indeed at 9000K+ (9300K to be exact). But that still makes me wonder why my new monitor is the only one with a purple background out of some other laptops I've tested it with (the laptops also had a glossy panel though). I've also heard that glossy panels show a more 'darker black' while matte screens got a more gray-ish look. Not sure if that's true or not.
