Monitor has 1ms response time but only getting at 6.5ms response time?

I own a asus vg248qe. Ive noticed in many games it says I have a 6.5ms response time even thought its marketed at a 1ms response time. I used also a web browser test https://www.testufo.com/mprt it also has measured the same.

I am connected to a display port to mini display port which is connected to a laptop that has a gtx 1070. Is there something wrong with my wiring?

Advertised response time figures are basically meaningless and should be ignored.
