Been getting this error once every month, really annoys me.

----------------------------------------------------------
On Thu 6/28/2018 8:08:13 PM your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\062818-4703-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: hal.dll (0xFFFFF80274C0C54B)
Bugcheck code: 0xA (0x30, 0xD, 0x0, 0xFFFFF80274C0C54B)
Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\hal.dll
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: Hardware Abstraction Layer DLL
Bug check description: This indicates that Microsoft Windows or a kernel-mode driver accessed paged memory at DISPATCH_LEVEL or above.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver on your system that cannot be identified at this time.

Here is the link to the minidump i uploaded:

Can someone please take a look. Thank you!

I also ran Driver Verifier shortly after the crash, here is the second minidump:

Hi, I ran the dump files through the debugger and got the following information: https://pste.eu/p/nknO.html

File: 062818-4703-01.dmp (Jun 28 2018 - 21:08:13)
BugCheck: [IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (A)]

File: 062818-3781-01.dmp (Jun 28 2018 - 21:36:33)
BugCheck: [DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION (C4)]
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for SiUSBXp.sys
Probably caused by: memory_corruption (Process: System)
Uptime: 0 Day(s), 0 Hour(s), 00 Min(s), and 09 Sec(s)

The overclocking driver "IOCBios2.sys" was found on your system. (Intel Extreme Tuning Utility)
The overclocking driver "RTCore64.sys" was found on your system. (MSI ?)
Remove all overclocks.

Motherboard: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z170-A/
You are using BIOS version 3007 (DATE: 11/29/2016)
_The latest BIOS is version 3802 (DATE: 04/27/2018)
Note: Updating your BIOS can be risky. Never try it when you might lose power (lightning storms, recent power outages, etc).

I can't help you with this. Wait for additional replies. Good luck.

driver verifer found it to be Corsair link drivers, they might have updated them by now, they were taking them time releasing updates.

BIOS update might help, This link shows how to do it, can do it over the internet inside the bios now.

Odd you have this but not the BIOS driver part of it - Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility Performance Tuning driver
Could remove AI Suite unless you use it.
that the latest version of Synapse?

I used Razer/Steelseries combo a while ago, now Steelseries/Logitech

Thank you, this is very helpful. Do i need to remove these two drivers? "IOCBios2.sys" and "RTCore64.sys". Or are you saying not to overlock my CPU?

Yeah i uninstall Corsair link software and deleted the related drivers in safemode. If i get the same crash again i will update BIOS.

I dont know if Synapse is on the latest version, i haven't used it in a long time. should i remove it? do you think that could be the problem?

I had AI Suite installed but uninstalled it a while ago. Is that still in my system? I dont see it.

Overclocking can cause BSODs, so when you are trying to diagnose a BSOD problem, it's best to remove ALL overclocks. If we later determine the exact cause, then you can re-add any overclocks one at a time, and if you experience more BSODs, then you know they are a problem also.

It doesn't appear that your CPU is overclocked, even though you have overclocking software installed. The software (drivers) are less likely to cause problems than the actual overclock, in my opinion. Of course any and all drivers could potentially be a problem. Leave them for now unless someone asks you to remove them.

Your CPU: https://ark.intel.com/products/88191/Intel-Core-i5-6600K-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz
According to that page: Processor Base Frequency 3.50 GHz
According to the dump file: Processor Version: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz
So it appears your CPU is not overclocked which is what we want (for now).

Your RAM: https://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3200c16d-8gvk
Page says: SPD Speed: 2133MHz
SPD is basically is like the "base" speed.
According to dump file: 2133MHz
It doesn't appear to be overclocked which is good.

The dump files don't say much about your GPU but if it's overclocked, remove the overclocks. I'm assuming it's not since your CPU and RAM are not.

^ Always check the info I post.

If you have any new BSODs after updating/removing drivers/software then upload the dump files. Wait for additional answers.

This is strange that the dump files are saying CPU and memory are not overclocked. Because my CPU is overclocked to 4.7Ghz, my RAM is overclocked to 3200Mhz.

ASio.sys is on your PC, it can be part of AI Suite or GPU TWeak 2 by Asus so if you have an Asus GPU, it could be part of the 2nd app if its installed. The error type you are getting doesn't point as ASio.sys being the blame, exactly. I just noticed the file was there.
