Ok so I have a PC that only has VGA ports. I have a VGA cable but i need a VGA to HDMI adapter in order to see it on my monitor (correct me if im wrong). I was wondering if i can use my other PC's graphics card as that adapter to display from the first PC. Is this possible? Just wondering...

Provided it fits, and you can adequately power it - you could put the GPU from the other system into this one.

To use your system as it stands, you'd need an Active VGA to HDMI converter.

But, at $20.... you could probably find a based GPU with native HDMI support.

For example, a NEW GT210 is about $35.

So, finding a used GPU with HDMI support shouldn't be hard for <$20.

*JUst to be clear, the GT210 is a horrible card. Just using it as an example*

It really depends on your PC. Does it have the proper PCI lane for that video card? Does it have proper PSU to provide power for that GPU? etc...

We could give you better answer if you provide your full system specs and the make/model of that other video card.

An easier solution would be just go to best buy or any tech storage and buy a vga to hdmi converter\adapter. They are like $10.
