I made a HTPC and I'm having trouble playing games without it cutting off some of the picture on the 4k TV I have it hooked up to. I've been trying to run Skyrim Special Edition, but no matter what I try the left and right side will cut off a bit of the picture. The Steam app also runs at a weird resolution. I'm running windows 10 pro and my specs are:

Intel Pentium G4400
MSI b250m pro-vd Motherboard
4gb G.skill DDR4 2400
MSI Geforce GTX 1050ti
EVGA 450 PSU 80+
VIZIO 50" 4k TV E-Series

Its worse still if you have 2 screens as it extends across both.

Use NVIDIA control pannel to set skyrim to the resolution or alt+enter to go fullscreen etc...i believe you can even edit .INI files of skyrim to ur resolution

Trying to find what to put in ini files as its other answer apart from using Geforce Experience

I think the height/width scores in these posts might help fix your problem, just make sure the numbers match screen size (so 3840 x 2160)
