Hello,

So I am confused what to b buy between these monitors. I have a Gtx 1050Ti, I dont plan to game at all, only internet browsing, docs, reading a lot of texts and articles, a lot of youtube, and maybe a movie from time to time, thats all!

and I prefer to get a 27'' max since I like big monitors. And I am stuck into buying from local retail stores outside the US. All of the prices here are local store prices and converted into $.

1- LG27MP59G 224$

2- Asus MX279H 333$

5- Asus pb287q (4k TN Panel) 465$

6- LG 27UD58-B (4k IPS Panel Freesync) 445$

7- Just buy a normal 24'' 1080p IPS monitor (dont know the exact price but around 250$)

Well, the HP is a 7 ms response time where as the Asus is a 5 ms response time. The Asus will provide a smoother picture with less motion blur and ghosting. The Asus also has a better contrast ratio, which means that the darks will be darker and the lights will seem lighter, over all providing a better quality picture. The Asus also has a matte finish where as the HP is glossy. Matte finishes don't reflect light as much so it is better for use in a bright room. Glossy usually provides for a clearer looking picture, but any sort of light will reflect off of it like a mirror.

Image quality wise the Asus will be noticeably superior, especially in motion.

I hope that helps.
Well, 4k will look stunning, but you'll also have display scaling issues from time to time, and for general use they aren't that much better than the alternatives. So for general usage I'd say a 1080p would probably be the way to go.

Of the ones on your list the Asus is probably the strongest contender, that said it is the more expensive. If you are at a retail store you can compare colors and sharpness in person. Have you considered a 1440p monitor? It is a good resolution to get the advantages of both 4k and 1080p. You get a sharper picture and it has fewer issues with display scaling than 4k. A good 25 to 27 inch 1440p might just be what you are looking for. If not, go with that Asus or whatever you think looks best.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately upon my search I couldnt find any 2k monitor at 27 inch. I only find 95% 1080p and 5% 4k. I will try to search one more time. In the mean time, I liked 3 monitors and want your opiunions about them.

2- Asus MX279H 333$
It is really good but a bit expensive than other contenders vastly due to the B&O speakers (which I dont need). I havent looked at its colors and how they look.

3- HP 27es 266$
This is the one I am mostly going to buy, like the Asus, is it going to be a problem (For my use) when I get a 27'' at 1080p? I mean will I notice anything or is it really unnoticable ? If it is really unnoticable I see it is very good.

6- LG 27UD58-B (4k IPS Panel Freesync) 445$
This is the only 4k IPS 27'' screen I found here. I really liked it but theoretically as you said I will be facing many problems at this resolution here. Is it worth getting rather than the other 2? I dont mind their prices I just want to get the optimal screen for me.

Well, the HP would be a good bet. HP monitors usually have great colors and sharp pictures. However, ASUS is no slouch either with picture quality. The ASUS also has a better response time.

Honestly, I'd get the 4k screen, because 4k is sweet... That said, you can't really go wrong with any of these options. If the 4K wasn't on the list I'd get the Asus... but bragging rights are a powerful lure.

I am planning on either the ASUS or the HP. Are there any differemces between them in terms on quality and colors? Not design only the screen.

I think the 4k is a bit expensive and the 27'' on it is not the best option there.
