My new Acer monitor says no signal when I try to use the HDMI cabel.

It works fine with DVI but when I set input to HDMI the screen goes black and in the upper right coner there's a symbol of a HDMI cabel that's green and in the middle of the screen it says no signal. After about 10 seconds it automatically turns back to DVI. Anyone know how to fix this?

Change hdmi cable, maybe its damaged.
