MotherBoard Won't Recognize Second Monitor

I have a monitor that uses VGA but that isn't a problem because I have a female VGA to HDMI Male adapter. The monitor works perfectly fine when connected to my GPU but due to different circumstances where the HDMI of the GPU needs to be taken by something else, I need to use the HDMI slot located in my Motherboard. I've already went to BIOS and enabled Internal Graphics. Even before I was able to use the HDMI on my Motherboard but for some reason I'm no longer able to. I don't believe it is the Monitor itself because I tested this with the same exact model monitor and received the same results. However, when I used my Primary monitor with and HDMI to HDMI, it worked! This problem has been bugging me for the longest of time. Any recommendations are great and will be appreciated!

Solution
It might be your adapter. Since HDMI uses only digital signals and VGA onlyuses analog then you need an "Active Adapter" to perform the conversion.
