this is the issue i am having currently.. this crash happens when i run utherverse and steam.. second life runs fine but the voice comms quit working after a short time.. I have replaced the ram in the pc and ran memtest on both sets and both sets are fine.. basically.. the programs run for a few moments and I dont even get to log in and they crash.. All my drivers are updated and I have tried multiple graphics cards.. only thing I haven't been able to test is the motherboard..
i7 7700k standard clock
16g corsair vengence 2x8
gigabyte gaming 3 h270 motherboard
512g solid state drive
1050ti 4g gigabyte

Solution
That start menu behaviour is different. Are you using the same email address on user as previous install? I am just wondering if its remembering settings from your old user. It can do that via your roaming profile and if you have settings/accounts/sync your settings on (it is by default). MY PC used to change my desktop settings as it remembered my old desktop wallpaper and swap it from 4k to 1080p on startup.

try making a new local account and see if same stuff happens - make it admin and copy contents of old users folder from c:\users\username onto new one
https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/4026923/windows-10-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account - test steam while you at it.

I have asked this already, but can you...

Exception code c0000005 is the code for an access violation. That means that your program is accessing (either reading or writing) a memory address to which it does not have rights - https://stackoverflow.com/questions/17168982/exception-error-c0000005-in-vc

Do you always get a BSOD?

Can you follow option one on the following link - here
and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD

that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD
copy that file to documents
upload the copy from documents to a cloud server and share the link here and someone with right software to read them will help you fix it :)

This is the dmp file I have on what's going on... Also I apologize it took so long to reply.. but since I posted this I have tried a new set of ram and a new mobo and hard drive.. also a amd graphics card and not a nvidia.. .... and fresh installs of windows 10 3 times.. always the same result.. can the CPU itself be doing this?.. i've built for years and never ran into a faulty cpu..however its literally the only thing i can't been able to swap

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M (1000007f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
use .trap on that value
Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000008, EXCEPTION_DOUBLE_FAULT
Arg2: ffff9981c48b0050
Arg3: 0000007f775fd658

What are specs of PC?

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP

Explanation:
This Stop message means that one of two types of problems occurred in kernel-mode, either the kind of condition that the kernel is not allowed to have or catch (a bound trap), or an unrecoverable error. Occasionally, this message can be caused by software problems, but the most common cause is hardware failure. It usually occurs after the installation of faulty or mismatched hardware (especially memory) or in the event that installed hardware fails. Setting the CPU to run at speeds above the rated specification (known as overclocking the CPU) can also cause this error.

Look at the user actions here - https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms854946.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

The suggested solution is remove any new hardware, but that is hard when the new hardware is the motherboard and new ram.

I assume CPU isn't overclocked? Do you have latest BIOS on motherboard? tried running with reduced parts in PC - 1 stick ram, no gpu, only boot drive?

Try running this on CPU - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool if system stays up long enough (last crash happened after 3 minutes uptime)

Yea I have changed every component in the pc expect the cpu with the same results and mannerisms on how the pc blue screens.. the explorer.exe seems to act kind of off sometimes.. wont save my pinned tiles and when it does sometimes they overlap.... then when i click on the start menu again, they are gone.. and that's me trying that about 10 mins after a fresh win10 installation. I will say the new mobo and ram i did get was not the same model just in case some sort of something odd was happening there.
CPU has never been overclocked and the temps have always been good according to HW monitor logging.. first mobo was a h270 so it couldnt have been overclocked anyway.
At this point I am kind of curious to see if win7 will run properly on the system.. the mobo has drivers for it however i do know microsoft doesnt support updates for 270 or 7700k
Both mobo's have the latest bios and I have ran with no gpu and 1 stick of ram on the first mobo with the same bsod results.. changing ram a couple times during that to make sure its not the ram.
I ran the intel genuine processor diagnostic tool last night and it passed all test..
Kind of wish I had a extra 7k series cpu to test but I dont
Only other interesting thing I can add is that when I run steam.. about 10 seconds after I log on it just poofs and disappears.. has done that on all hardware configs.

I have asked this already, but can you follow option one on the following link - here

that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

I can get more info out of a dump file than what that shows.
