Need help with monitor decision . Ips vs tn as well

I'm thinking of getting a new monitor and I see there is tn and ips. I see ips has alot of issues with glowing and other things. I was wanting an pg348q since it has gsync is 1440p and is bigger. Can anyone shine some light on this. I'm scared of ips glow and dead pixels with tn panels. Thanks

TN can have glow too and IPS can have dead pixels too. So in that there is no difference. The general difference is IPS can produce better colors and has a wider viewing angle than TN. TN is cheaper usually and can be pushed to higher refresh rates than IPS. So if you want super fast refresh rate it will almost always be TN. If you want a color accurate monitor it will usually be IPS.

I wanted to make sure. I was interested in an ips ultrawide but it scares me with the glow people are talking about and having to get it replaced. So idk currently

The specific monitors matter much more than the TN or IPS letters in the name.
