Trying to figure out what this component is, I believe it is an older hot swap bay

Good morning everyone, sorry for the newbie post. I've been searching for info on this specific component for a while now and haven't found any info on it. It looks like a hot swap bay. I was wondering if any one knew any specs on it, as of course cyber power PC put them in my tower without hooking them up among other things. Thanks in advance for any answers!

I would be weary of such a thing, why would a SATA device need, a MOLEX power connection to power the SATA (basically its a MOLEX to SATA converter) since all current power supplies can power the SATA drive with the need for it.

if they installed that in my computer I would be weary of everything else and return it.

Thank you for your answer. I agree 100% with you, especially since I couldn't even find any info on it! My psu has plenty of sata power cables, not even sure why they wouldn't put a regular bay in the case. Wish I wasn't so naive years ago when I bought it, I would've been able to catch it then.

toss in parts bin.... never know in the future you may need one to use on a low end cheap psu build.
