DVI cord is not connecting my the graphics card to my monitor

my DVI cord isn't connecting my monitor to my graphics card, i have tried reseating my graphics card (AMD Radeon RX 570) multiple times and tried running windows in safe mode to determine if it was a problem with the new driver i installed. I have tried resetting my CMOS and using another DVI cable. For some reason i can not connect my monitor to my graphics card with a DVI cable even though it was working perfectly fine before.

ive tried multiple cables but the same result happens, a black screen

I guess the next step is to try a different card to see if it card-related or something else. Or take your card to a friend's for testing. You have to narrow it down to the card or something in the system or monitor.

Question: What resolution/refresh rate are you trying to use? If you are trying to do much more then 1080p then it's possible DVI just doesn't have the necessary bandwidth to transmit the signal.
