Other monitor is black but detected by the system?

Just plugged my second monitor into my new GPU but it only shows a black screen and the monitor goes into "afk" mode. How do I fix this?

Specs:
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 overclocked to 4.3GHz
Memory: 6GB RAM
GPU: MSI GTX 1050 Ti
PSU: Coolermaster GX 650W Bronze
Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC MATE
A 1TB HDD

You may need to manually select the input type on the monitor itself, like vga, dvi, hdmi..should be five buttons on the monitor, one of them will toggle the input type by pressing on it.

I tried, but I can only get it to flash digital and analog for a bit then it goes back to afk mode?
