Best ips gaming monitor 1440p

Im looking for the best ips gaming monitor out currently for 1440p.

I was considering an ultra wide but will that look as good as say a 28” screen will in 1440p. I feel like since it’s so stretched out it won’t look quite as good. However I like the imersion of an ultra wide but the very low refresh rates bother me. Minimum I want is 100mhz in an ultra wide and 144hz in a traditional ips. Any thoughts or reasoning to help me sort this out will be greatly appreciated a 1080ti will power the system and an i7 8700k
