I was interested in buying a new monitor. I want this to be an upgrade over my old monitor so I have a couple conditions.
I need the monitor to:
-Have a ips display since I have a TN (i want better viewing angles and better color accuracy)
-Be at least 120hz
-I want to game on it so i want a response time of 4ms or below
-Need display port
It doesn't need to be an ultrawide but that would be nice. My budget is $700 but a can go a little higher like $750.

The Gsync version does have a higher refresh rate but does come at a premium (including Gsync).

The only downside (if you could even consider it a downside) is that the response time is 5ms. I've played on 144hz/1ms monitors and my current one is a 2560x1080P/75hz 5ms and while I see the refresh rate difference I can't tell the difference between my current 5ms and my previous 1ms but maybe it's just me.

If it was a 16:9 monitor I would agree but at 21:9 the monitor is much wider and doesn't have that pixel-y effect. The 29" versions (21:9) are actually about a half a inch shorter vertically then a 24" 16:9 monitor so it really isn't much bigger then your standard 1080P 16:9. Plus it isn't technically 1080P (1980x1080), its 2560x1080P so more pixels.
