PCE-AC55BT Network Card Only Sometimes Works On Boot Then Drops Connection

I built a PC about early may and my network card ( the Asus PCE-AC55BT ) has been very dodgy only working about 1/2 the time on boot then it will sometimes drop all the 5ghz network connections then eventually all connections in general, I believe I still have the box and documentation for it. Is there any chance this could be the fault of the mother board? I have changed the PCI-e slot before for a more suitable slot with the gpu. What should I do?

First make sure it's not the router that's dropping WiFi connections rather than the WiFi card (I've had this happen with two mid-priced routers after about 6 months of use -- restarting router fixed it but only for a day or two until it happened again -- only way to fix it permanently was to buy a more expensive router and it never happened again).

Nope have used this pc on different networks with different routers, high end ones too.
