Advice on monitor selection!

Hey guys, I have a flexible budget of $800 to buy a monitor! I can not afford the $2000 Asus monitor not that I would even buy it if I could. Where you guys come in if you'll be so kind, is helping me select said, monitor. Should I buy a 4K 60hz Monitor with gsync and all the fancy specs or a 2560x1440 144hz monitor with gsync and all the fancy specs? I play the following genres of games FPS, RPG, MMO, VR games and more. So a simplified version of my question is: Is a 4k 60hz or 1440p 144hz more worth it for all kinds of gaming.

Hey, thanks for the response! My gpu and cpu are a 1080ti and a i7-8700K but ill be upgrading to an 1180 i believe also 27 inch or 34 inch are what I am looking for i really like the Dell one you linked do you have anymore like it?
