my hp desktop is an hp pavilion 550-126 intel i-5, 1tb hd, 12gb ram
i am having problems with this desktop since purchase a little over a year ago.
it is extremely slow on the internet, whther via ethernet or wirelessly.
we have fios 50 by 50 speed.
we run speed tests regularly sometimes show slow speeds ie 25/7 wirelessly, but usually over 40 by 40 via ethernet.
currently i am running a test with a dell i-3 laptop next to it.
both running windows 10 both have mcafee total protection
just ran full scans on both.
also have been running cc cleaner and reimage repair on the desktop with no issue found.
running them side by side, the laptop with one you tube video running gives me speeds of 45/45.
the desktop with the same video playing gives me a speed of 24/6, and i am gettinig the screen that says hmmm we seem to have lost the connection
i am wondering if i should just reload windows again, or should i remove the realtek family controller and replace it(if it can be removed)
any help would be greatly appreiciated,
thank you david
