I recently bought an AOC AGON AG271QX monitor that is supposed to run at 144 Hz. In the windows options and Nvidia control panel there are only options for 120 Hz. I tried creating a custom resolution in Nvidia control panel using 144 Hz but after I clicked "save settings' the resolution wouldn't actually show up as an option to select. I'm using the displayport to connect my monitor to my pc. I have also downloaded the monitor's drivers. I've already checked the OSD options and set the displayport to 1.2. I need help because I really don't know what to do at this point.

Specs:

Intel i7-4770k 3.50GHz CPU

8GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760

Solution

You should be able to, as long as you have GPU scaling disabled. (NVIDIA control panel under "Adjust desktop size and position" set scaling to perform on Display)

But if I set the resolution to 1920x1080 should I be able to get 144 Hz?
