Does changing to Windows 10 delete the files from my HDD if I'm going to install it in my SSD?

I'm going to install Windows 10 on my computer which already has Windows 8.1 saved on the SSD. I have all the the other files such as games and documents in my HDD. Will changing to Windows 10 erase the files on my HDD as well if I'm going to install it in the SSD?

No. hdd would be left alone. Installer would just affect the ssd.

I would remove power from hdd while you install win 10, only as win 10 likes to put parts of it on other hdd and this stops it.
