Pc frozen during radeon update

I was told to update my r9 280x by the radeon software, whilst updating my pc has completely frozen with no movement at all, do I restart my PC? using the restart button or wait it out? Thanks

I would suggest that you wait it out. If it goes to something like 6 hours and there is no response from your system, then it's time to hit the reset button. While you're here, can you please pass on your full system's specs, like so:

I personally don't download updates per the automatic updates. Rather I search for any updated drivers and manually download and install drivers(after uninstalling the older version).
