FreeSync Monitor without a DisplayPort?

Hello,

Some time ago I bought a monitor, a Samsung S24F350 which claims to support AMD FreeSync, but when I try to enable FreeSync in the Radeon Settings, it says that "it is not supported".

I have read that in order to make FreeSync work, you need a displayport connection, which my GPU does have, but my monitor does not, which begs the question: Would it be possible to make FreeSync work with just a HDMI/DisplayPort cable?

what gpu do you have? My RX580 is connected to Dell 2717HR through HDMI. I have freesync up to 75hz just fine.

Try updating your AMD catalyst to latest and try a new HDMI cable if yours is not 1.4 or 2.0.

Some FreeSync displays support FreeSync over HDMI
