So im looking for a good 144hz 27 inch monitor (NOT CURVED) For gaming mainly and would love to use it with my editing. I edit using vegas so I dont think it will be a problem ( As in i dont think i need a one with good colours) Dont really have a budget but dont want too expensive. If you can find it on amazon.co.uk that would be great as i have a gift card there.

Thanks

Solution
Yes it will do. Its just a variant of one of the units that i have linked above and pretty similar specs wise.
And yes, you can change the resolution according to your workload. Having a higher resolution monitor does give you that liberty.
"Don't really have a budget but don't want too expensive."

That's contradictory, no? Don't say you have no budget and then make a statement that contradicts it. So, that said, what's your realistic budget? Do you have any specific preferences in mind as far as the panel type, manufacturer, or anything else?

Well im looking for a 1080p 27 inch. Want a good one and will wait to see what you ( and others) link and then ill see if its appropriate. Maybe not over 450 pounds. Brand doesnt really matter as long as its a good monitor and well known

got a i7 8700k and a gtx 1080. I want to do 1080p as i want to get high fps in games but even with the 1080, i tried playing subnaticia on ultra and didnt get 144 fps so thats why i want to stick with 1080p

It's more about game optimization than anything else, to be honest. If you want to stick with 1080p, that's fine... but know that you're somewhat neutering your card. I would know as I, too, have a 1080 and play at 1080p / 1920 * 1200. That said, are you interested in G-Sync at all or just want something with a high refresh rate?

Im going to be honest. I have no idea what g-sync is . Just i have the money and wanted to try what 144 hz is like. I want to do 1080p as i know i will get 144fps in games.I like the look of this one and the cost. Should i get it ?? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B075B1XCBY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1 . Now it doesn't have g-sync but if you explain to me what it is (if you can please) and weather or not i should go for a gsync one.

It is a good unit, and you can go with it. Not too bad for an entry level monitor in 144hz range, with all the standard features. Ofcourse there are better units, but they come at a higher cost too.
GSync is a NVidia feature to synchronize your monitor refresh rate with GPU frame rate to avoid input lag and/or stuttering. But it comes at a significant cost... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01EN5JN5K/?tag=pcp0f-21

With the one that you linked can i changed it to 1080p 144 hz from the pc itself?? Like i could use the 2560 x 1440 for watching videos and then switch to 1080p for gaming

Update. Sorry for the spam. Could this one do what im looking for ? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B077WKCV15/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1
