Need some tech help :)

Hi, so I have a hdmi cable running from my monitor, however when I plug it into the back of my computer it doesn't seem to work, I've tried other cables and I believe the hdmi is faulty within the pc. Will this be a substitute to resolve that problem? by just having an external usb to hdmi cord and i'll just plug in the hdmi cable from my monitor into that external hdmi? thanks!

2| Can you state the cables you've used thus far? If you could parse a link for each, that would be good.

3| I'd advise on not spending on anything more until it's been verified if you indeed have a faulty HDMI port.

4| Make sure you're on the latest GPU drivers and that you're on the latest BIOS update for your platform.

What is the make and model of the motherboard and the CPU?

Why are you providing a link to a USB cable?

make sure your cpu has onboard video and the bios has it turned on and it working.
