Delete a Windows 10 Key from my MS Account?

Long story short I'm selling my desktop and want to delete the Windows 10 Key from my MS account so the buyer will have the system and a valid Windows 10. The CD key was upgraded to Windows 10 from Win7 Pro during the free promotion so the buyer should be able to do a clean install of Windows 10 with that CD Key if desired?

I don't think Microsoft allows transfer of license ownership.

Theoretically you can remove device from your microsoft account. I'm just not sure, what happens to license, if you do that.

It doesn't matter if I cant transfer it to his MS Account, as long as he can use the CD Key again for a clean install is really all I care about. From your link it looks like I could just reset the PC after showing him it runs everything and making the sale. I just don't want saved Steam/Uplay/Origin credentials with my card info on the system. I logged out of each program and deleted a few games.

I believe with Windows 10 upgrades there wasn't a key code. The activation is tied to your email.

You need to do a full wipe and reinstall before it leaves your hands.
Then HE needs to do a full wipe and reinstall, just for safety sake

So I can deactivate the Key from my MS account, do a clean install, sale, then he can do a clean install with the Key?

Should be able to.
If all else fails, call MS and talk to a human.

Or, give him a $90 discount, keep the license key for yourself, and let him figure out the licensing, buying his own key.

I do not think you can "delete" the activation from your email and give it to someone else. I believe the activation stays with your email. It cannot be transferred to someone else.
