Windows 7 Upgrade to Windows 10

I run Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit) on an older I7 HP PC. I have two Ethernet adapters, one is directly connected to my D-Link DNS-321. I am considering grading to the free Windows 10 Home(64bit), which I have on a USB drive. My concern is 1: Will I the DNS-321 be accessible/and able to map drive? 2: Will I be able to have scheduled backups? Also, I was wondering about the license key. Did it load on the USB when I downloaded Windows 10 to the USB drive?

Solution
Personally I would not upgrade to Windows10 Home and also not sure if you can even go from Ultimate to Home.

I would recommend download the Windows10 Pro and create a installation media. Then do a fresh install of Windows10 and use the Windows7 key to activate Windows10.

I understand that it is no fun to reinstall all you software and games but you will have a much smoother running system.
