caanot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of windows

To start, no options in compatibility mode helped, not even the troubleshooter

the program is Star Wars Epsiode 1 Racer, if that matters
I'm running Windows 10 on an AMD FX-6300 with the OEM M5A97 EVO2 M51BC mobo, not the retail EVO2, the business model or whatever haha

16GB RAM, only regular 7200 RPM HDDs

this error occurs on attempting to run the installer, so I can't just drop it to the program files x86 folder, nor does copying and running the installation CD to that directory help either.

if anyone can help me run this game, they'll have helped me understand my computer a bit more and saved me the $10 for a new compatible version. Thanks in advance.

From what I read online, that game came out in 1998? And needs Win95 to run? My gut says it's using a 16bit installer which won't run under any win64 system. Try installing it with dosbox or some other system for old games?

it wont run in DOS, DOSBOX rejected it. I'm workiung with Oracle, but it seems to want me to have an actual disk or ISO for Win95, is that correct? I definitely don't have a copy haha

Virtual Box (and other virtual machine hypervisor) behaves like a real computer, so you'll have to install an IS on it. Whether this will be Win95, 98 or anything x32 is up to you - including any licenses you'd need.
