Monitor not going to maximum refresh rate

Hello,
I have the Asus PG278QR monitor that is marketed at a 165hz refresh rate if overclocked, with a base of 144hz. I can't seem to get it any higher than a 144hz refresh rate. Any suggestions?

It should have some overdrive setting in the OSD to allow it to go to 165.

Open the monitors menu, turn overclocking to on. Open nvidia control panel and set it to 165hz under the resolution section. It should be as simple as that, it is on my PG279Q.

Overdrive settings typically just change monitor response times.
