I noticed after loading from disc clean boot Windows 10 Pro, the Task Manager was running at 100%. I ran both Malwarebytes and Norton, looking at HW Monitor indicating what each Core was running at percent wise.

I decided to pull the WD SSD 250 gig from the computer and connected PNY CS900 SSD, I did not load any other drivers or utilities for the ASRock motherboard, just the Windows 10 Pro disc. I was not connected to the internet or any other HDD attached, the Task Manager was running at 100%.

I pulled and that drive and erased it, loaded a Sandisk SSD 240 Gig, for a test only that the possibility the Windows 10 Pro disc was/is tainted. I used another Microsoft Windows 10 Pro disc and installed it only, the same indication that the Task Manager running at full 100%.

Finally, I have a new Windows 7 64-Bit Home disc, loaded it to Sandisk SSD 240 gig drive, after checking the Task Manager - the Task Manager indicated a less than 10 percent usage.

What I am interested, could this ASRock H67M-GEHT motherboard not be compatible for Windows 10 based on way the Task Manager is acting?

Which build version of windows 10 is on the discs? Like 1706 or similar

Which process is running @100?

All drivers installed correctly? In device manager is no question or exclamation mark?

Did you restart (not shutdown) Windows 10?

Updates running in the background?

Try these drivers:
https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H67M-GEHT/index.asp#Download

Beginning with the inf, then the Intel Management Engine, realtek and lan. Others shouldn´t be needed

also you can try in windows 10:

Helpstar,

Thanks for the reply and information.

The Build version is the most current. Drivers loaded; however, the Intel HD Graphics driver would not load (Information saying the driver was corrupt), turns out the processor is an I5 Sandy 2nd Gen, most of the current drivers go up to Windows 8.1 version. I did download the intel support, indication the CPU was running at 100%.

Multiple re-starts with some of processes, after each and every re-start I checked the CPU process - still at 100%

I had no updates running in the background, in fact I shut off the updates.

In the long run, for me to keep running this Mobo and CPU, I had to push back to Windows 7.

Did run the file checker! All cleared from the scans!

CPU listed 100%, Task Manager. I loaded CPUID app, the percentage it was providing was very load CPU usage at all Cores.

I made the final call to pull the SSD and wipe, reloading Windows 7 Pro. Current CPU usage when the computer is on is in the very low single digit in idle mode, even using the internet. Based on the age of the motherboard and the processor, Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit is the best choice.

Thanks for the comments and assistance.
