PC won't display

So I just got all my PC parts and I put it all together like the Video and I come to find that he has a (HDMI) cord that comes from the power box I do not have one of those on my Power Box my power box is a (TR2 500w Series 2) everything boots up and lights up but it won't display I don't know if I need that cord or not please help

i mean you need to connect your monitor with you Graphicscard with a video signal cable like HDMI.
Can you tell us what Components you have in your pc
