What is Marvell 91xx Config? And is it safe to eject?

After installing a new motherboard I noticed this new background application called Marvell 91xx Config. When I right click on it I can view Deviced and Printers or eject it. Is it safe to eject it? And how do I get rid of it?

That's most likely additional onboard sata controller on your motherboard. List your motherboard model name, to confirm this.
If you don't need it and there are no drives connected to it, should be possible to disable it in BIOS.

The motherboard im using is ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe, all of my drives are directly connected to the motherboard.

None of my drives are connected to the Marvell sata connectors. But should I rather use the Marvell sata connectors than the sata 3Gb/s gray connectors? (I have no experience with Marvell Sata connectors)

Grey ports are 6Gb/s. You should connect your SSD drives to them, if you have any.
