Rootkit infection? Getting BSOD every time I run GMER

Hi. Computer has been acting up for months, never suspected malware was the issue but every time GMER detects possible rootkit activity and requests a full scan, I do the full scan and somewhere along the way I get blue screened. What is happening?



For reference when im just using the computer normally it works more or less fine until I do something taxing like a game.

Create a bootable rescue CD like one of these and then boot from that device and scan your system:

What do?

Looks like the install failed. Try the AVG offering or re-attempt to download/install Bitdefender.

So I did the avg version, did it's thing but failed to remove some 50 or 60 detections (out of 2000)

Now my computer won't boot and is stuck in a repair loop PLEASE HELP

Did you delete all found threats or just quarantine them?

I'm not sure, when I ran the scan it brought me to a screen where it showed all the detections.
I had the options of action, select all, deselect all and return.
I selected all and then did "action".
It returned "protection complete" on the successful files and "failed to protect" on the errors
After that had finished it notified me that 50 odd viruses could not be removed then took me back to the screen that list's all the virus detections.
I hit return and quit after that.

There was no option for quarantine or delete, just "action"
