Hi,

We've had an ongoing issue with one of our users were sections of the screen (1/3 or 1/2 of the screen). However, it's not a monitor issue as it only affects certain programs;

-File Explorer
-All Internet Browsers Installed.

The issue occurs intermittently. Sometimes happening only once a day but other times happening 20+ times a day. At the moment, I've instructed the user to refresh the graphics driver with Ctrl-Shift-Windows-B which resolves it for a time before it comes back.

The black section of the screen is intractable as you can right click to bring up the desktop options menu.

What we've done so far:

- Reinstalled the graphics driver
- Amended the graphics properties of the driver (which fixes the issue temporarily).

Kind Regards

Luke

IT sounds like a program is putting an over lay on that area of the screen, have you tried a clean boot to see if it fixes it? Carefully read instructions and make sure not to close all Microsoft services or PC won't boot right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

if that fixes it, slowly add back the programs and services you stopped to find cause.

Tried running an AV or malwarescan?
