I'm building a new gaming rig that's gonna replace my 2013 Dell Inspiron 15R 5221, but I'm asking my friends to see which build I should go for. I do have a basic knowledge of computer hardware though (I've being playing games since 2011), but I need to decide between the two builds that my friends have chosen. Keep in mind that it's either this build or the other. Max price is around $1500 Australian.

Games that I play includes Overwatch, LoL, CSGO, Fortnite, and PUBG. I also do video-editing for friends and Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom as a personal hobby.

PS all prices are in australian so don't freak out if the prices seem too high.

Having had a look at both options, first I would go for the i5-8400 as it is much better and 8th Gen. Secondly I would go for a Z370 motherboard so that you do have a upgrade path later.

I have put together a parts list that costs less but is the same with the bonus of a GTX 1060 6GB instead of the 1050Ti...The only thing that is missing is the SSD which I could not find but even including that, this works out cheaper...

Do not spend additional money on a Windows 10 Pro licence as you can get it for less than $20 Australian on Ebay...no issues fully legit.
