Have to boot windows 10 through bios

So I just built my first gaming pc and I’m having a hard time with Windows. Each time my pc reboots, I have to go through the BIOS in order to get windows to actually start. If I don’t, I either get the blue screen error message or I get the screen telling me to install an OS. I tried updating windows but that doesn’t seem to have fixed the problem. When I originally downloaded windows 10 I got the blue screen and entered command prompts to fix it. Please forgive my ignorance on this subject, I’m still learning.

Build specs
Ryzen 7 2700x cpu
Asus radeon rx 580 GPU
Asus B450f Mobo
Corsair vengeance 16gb ddr4
2tb hdd
240gb ssd

Solution
Corrupted file: windows.efi

Likely to be other corrupted files as well.

Understand: bootable USB but where did the Windows 10 on it come from?

Probably a do over is needed.

Starting with the creation of a new Windows 10 bootable usb.

Likely to be more straightforward than trying to add, replace, or otherwise fix the required files.

I have to select the specific hard drive to boot from in the BIOS

The blue screen error is
"The application or operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors."
File: \windows\system32\windows.efi
Error Code: 0xc000000e

I originally downloaded windows 10 from a bootable usb
