hard drive problem...

I hve an internal hard drive where crystaldiskinfo suggests that it's going to fail (ie warning).

I select all files and move them to a new disk, however, after all files supposed to be moved, it shows that there are still approx. 9GB space occupied, however, I can't see any files left.

what is the possible problmes and where does the 9GB files hide??

Hello. I've just checked with your recommended software - windirstat
Below is the screenshot.

Where it shows there is a file that is 8.00GB ...

What is that ? Is it useless file?

that's your pagefile. it is not useless. I let Windows 10 manage mine.

you just want to save data, forget copying the pagefile. if you want you can clone to a new hdd or sdd your current system. in any case, all you care about is DATA, like your documents, media of all kinds like pics, muisc, etc..
