Hello guys,

I plan to purchase a new monitor for gaming and work. I really like the curved ones so I have looked only into such monitors.

From gaming perspective I'm a casual player and the main titles that I play are WoW, DotA, Doomn Mortal Kombat, Diablo 3 etc.

From work perspective I do not need something fancy, rather something that is suitable for long ready and multi-tasking. I plan to split the monitor into two virtual ones.

I'm with an nVidia card and Intel CPU so no FreeSync and G-Sync is out of my price range.

So the monitors that I'm considering are -

LG 34UC79G -

https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-34UC79G-Ultrawide-DisplayPort-Freesync/dp/B01N23SVS7/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1537650667&sr=1-1&keywords=LG+34UC79G

Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN -
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-LC24FG73FQUXEN-24-Inch-Curved-Monitor/dp/B071Z46XQT/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1526736657&sr=1-1&keywords=Samsung%2BCFG73&dpID=41sk-6utBLL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch&th=1

I'm not very familiar with the technical details that make a monitor a good one so any advice is appreciated.

In addition I have found offers for both monitors that are almost identical so price comparison is not really needed.

Kind Regards,
Kaloyan

G-sync is in your price range, given the cost of that LG.

Actually I'm more concern about the resolution on the 21:9 display.

Apart from gaming I need a good amount of real-estate on the display, because I usually have lots of opened documents that I work on so having the ability to split one display into 2 or 3 will be really useful, however I'm not looking for a dual set up. This is why I'm looking into ultra-width, though I really like the Samsung one.

Is G-sync of such high importance? I mainly play Action RPG or traditional RPG games, with some exceptions like MK or Doom.

I'm going to purchase the monitors from Bulgaria where they are priced at 450EU, though Amazon is a valid option as well.
