New RAM worked for only a week

I have installed a new RAM module on my Lenovo Thinkpad T450s.
The laptop comes with 4Gb soldered on the MoBo, at 1600MHz, DDR3L, with "PC3L-12800 Compliance". The Laptop has a free slot, so I decided to upgrade to 8Gb buying a 4Gb stick with the same exact specs (This one).
It worked flawlessy.
For a week. Then it died.
I couldn't even access BIOS. After unsuccessfully resetting CMOS battery I took off the RAM and it started working (almost) istantly.
Now, do I change the RAM stick or is possible that something else than a failure of the sitck itself happened? It seems weird to me that it broke in so little time.

If you got it from Amazon or eBay, it could be a fake (counterfeit) module.
The sticker should have some holographic image otherwise is fake.
If the RAM chips do not have any data written on them, then the module is fake.

The Ram looks original in any way, and it's a kingstone. I guess I'll just try annother module and hope the problem was truly that ram chip.
