So I purchased a prebuilt computer for gaming 2-3 years ago and I decided to build my own because that one broke and I needed several upgrades already. (CPU, so I have no access to it whatsoever) I’ve been looking around trying to find answers to new questions that arise constantly when I’m looking into this. So I’ve ordered all new specs and I just found out that I need to install drivers on it, the only issue is that the case doesn’t have an optical driver. So I’m curious how I would download these drivers in the first place. Another thing is that I want to download windows again but I cant use the previous key cause it’s OEM or something that I learned about today. But I had windows on the other computer that was prebuilt and didn’t have it activated but it was installed until I found the key and activated it, so is there a way to like have windows as my OS until I purchase it or just apply another activation key? Please answer if you could just 1. Answer and then 2. Answer thanks in advance!!!

During Windows 10 installation, drivers for your hardware will be installed. Don't interrupt the setup or the update process.
If for any reason you need different drivers than the the version installed by Windows you could visit the hardware manufacturer and download the drivers.
You might be able to transfer the Windows 10 license to the new system by creating a Microsoft account in the current system and associate your Windows 10 license with that Microsoft account.

You could sign in with the same Microsoft account on the new PC and transfer the license.
Just open Activation and use the “Troubleshoot” option. Activation might fail so just sign in with the previous Microsoft account associated with your license.
Now inform Windows you “changed hardware on this device recently” and select your PC from the list of devices associated with your Microsoft account.

with windows 10 contact microsoft support when your done with the old pc. you may be able to move the os from one pc to another. with windows 10 now you can deatvate one online key from one pc and move it to another depending on the version of windows that was installed. with your build issue order a few 8g usb sticks. on the first stick download microsoft medai creation tool. it make a windows 10 1803 iso usb boot stick for you. on the new build you would set the usb stick as first boot device and install windows 10 from the usb stick. during the install it ask if you have a key click skip and windows 10 will install and run. (you get a small message that it unregistered). if your lucky windows 10 will install ethernet drivers for the mb. if it does you can download the updated chipset and other drivers over the internet. the only other way to turn windows 10 on is to become a windows tester (windows insider). down side is ms can push a bad test update and you may need to nuke and pave your os drive.
to cover you body part if windows does not install the right drivers. use another usb stick mark it drivers and bios.
download the newest bios file for the mb.
download the drivers from the mb web page and then see if intel or amd has newer drivers for the mb chipset.
move the drivers to the drivers usb stick.
