BSOD (Bad_Pool_Caller) When starting a campaign in Rome Total War 2

Most every time I try to load a campaign in this game it crashes to the BSOD and usually says Bad_Pool_caller. What is odd is that sometimes I can actually get it to work fine (no idea how, I've tried so many variables and cannot replicate it consistently) so I imagine it has something to do with a driver? I checked the RAM using windows program and the test86 or something a long those lines over night and there were no issues.

Also, I tried the dell support for drivers, there were only two BIOS updates, so I ran/installed them rebooted and still have the crash. This time it said Bad_Pool_Header. I've also ran driver booster to no avail.

Here is my .dmp file and msinfo:

My laptop is an alienware 15 r2

Hi, I ran the minidump file through the debugger and got the following information: https://pste.eu/p/fcE2.html

File: 092718-33843-01.dmp (Sep 27 2018 - 14:35:51)
BugCheck: [BAD_POOL_HEADER (19)]
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys
Probably caused by: memory_corruption (Process: System)
Uptime: 0 Day(s), 0 Hour(s), 24 Min(s), and 15 Sec(s)

The overclocking driver "XtuAcpiDriver.sys" was found on your system.

The nvlddmkm.sys file is a NVIDIA graphics card driver. There are a few things you can do to fix this problem. First off, try a full uninstall using DDU in Safe Mode then re-install the driver (more information). Or try getting the latest version of the driver. Or try one of the 3 most recent drivers released by NVIDIA. Drivers can be found here: http://www.nvidia.com/ or you can allow Windows Update to download the driver for you, which might be a older/better version.

I can't help you with this. Wait for additional replies. Good luck.

your kernel has been modified, this indicates a hack or malware infection. you should start cmd.exe as an admin and run
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

I would also look in task scheduler to see if hacking/malware is scheduled to run.

i would run a malware bytes scan.

the bugcheck was caused by a bad parameter being passed to some bluetooth radio device. you might check to see if there is bios update/ firmware update or driver update for the bluetooth.
(it may be a bogus error due to a malware infection)

looks like you have something hiding in your c:\pagefile.sys
I would turn of virtual memory, reboot and turn on virtual memory. it should delete the hidden c:\pagefile.sys and make a new one.

run a malwarebytes scan

check for a update to

you have two copies of this loaded from different directories:

What is your GPU? There is currently Microsoft/Nvidia issue tracked in Nvidia release notes for this.
Many people have that issue, just check nVidia forums. Worth opening a ticket with Microsoft, the more people report it the faster the will fix it.
I suffer this issue with 411.xx drivers in BF1. Have 2 x 1080Ti
